The Christmas holidays are the ideal time to catch up with friends over a glass of wine or hot cocoa. Surprising them with cute little gifts is a thoughtful gesture that warms up the hearts and fills them with happiness. They don't need to be expensive or luxurious. The original packaging and handmade labels or Christmas cards are really what makes it special. After all love and positive energy are what's Christmas are all about. Here are five gift ideas you can treat your friends with this season.
Beautifully Wrapped Chocolate Bar
Everyone loves chocolate, right? The holidays are the time when even the most strict dieters can let themselves indulge into the pleasures of delicious treats not counting the calories. Wrap it in a big festive ribbon, add a handmade tag and you have a beautiful and tasty gift everyone would enjoy.
Homemade treats are the ultimate symbol of love and care. Creating something with your own two hands you not only put special effort into the gift but also translate all of your love and positive energy. These delicious snowballs with Turkish delight are my favorite Christmas treats. Find the recipe of these easy to make sweets HERE. While they cool down put red or green tissue paper in a box and find a matching ribbon. Much more original and personal than a box of chocolates!
Christmas Cookie Cutters
Baking and decorating gingerbread cookies is one of my favorite Christmas traditions. It always puts me in a festive spirit and makes me warm and fuzzy on the inside. Why don't you give that feeling of coziness to your friends by handpicking a few Christmas cookie cutters and tie them with a big red ribbon especially for them?
Christmas Scent in a Jar
Harlan Miller once said "I wish we could put up some of the Christmas Spirit in jars and open a jar of it every month." My mom and I actually found a way to do that, to some extend at least. Scents like ginger, orange, cinnamon, vanilla and cardamon we traditionally associate with this wonderful time of the year. We've put these spices and some orange peels in a little jar, closed it tightly and wrapped a ribbon around it to preserve the scent of Christmas longer. Can you think of a better gift?
Both these CDs are treasures we've discovered by chance and thought they make perfect gifts. You don't even need to go out searching for such albums. Make it even more personal by making a mix CD of your favorite festive music or any music that's special for you and your friend. Put a ribbon and label on it and you have a perfect little gift!
