May Glossy Box. 2nd Birthday Edition

May Glossy Box, 2nd birthday edition

May Glossy Box, 2nd birthday edition
Can you think of a better way to start the weekend than receiving the May Glossy Box, which also happens to be the second birthday edition. I subscribed only last month and I am already loving the little boxes of cosmetic wonders delivered to my door once a month! If I leave The UK once I graduate this will definitely be one of the things I will miss along with Boots, TK Maxx, and the Thorntons Chocolates!

This month I've received two full-sized products, three samples and a little gift from Glossy Box and I've already tried two of them!

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara
The Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara (£15) was the first full sized product in the box. I don't know about you but fairy lashes sounds good to me so I couldn't wait and tried the mascara today! I normally don't like waterproof formulas because they feel too heavy on my lashes and it's such a pain to take them off, bu this one didn't bother me at all. It feel very light on the lashes, almost none-existent. It doesn't clump or smudge and holds a curl pretty well. However, the mascara seems a bit too natural for me as I like thicker, almost false looking lashes but after applying three coats and wearing it for a day it started growing on me. If you are a fan of naturally flattering lashes I would definitely recommend this product!

Beautiful Movements Cosmetics Prime &Create Mixing Medium

The Prime & Create Mixing Medium (£20 for 20g) is the definition of a multi-tasker. The clear aloe-vera based gel can be used alone as a primer or mixed with foundation for an air-brushed effect. You can also mix it powder products to create creamy or liquid product (for which you can also use petroleum jelly). Sounds like an exciting new product to me! Let me know if you'd like me to do a detailed review once I start using it!

Premae Harmony Balm
Premae Harmony Balm
The Primae Harmony Balm (£26.50 for 30ml) is the second product that I've already tried. The substance is more buttery than creamy and goes on very smoothly. I've applied it after cleansing my skin without moisturizer underneath. As I have combination to oily skin it was OK, but I would say that if you have dry skin you might need more moisture. The balm serves as protector and primer and leaves the skin feeling soft like silk. I've applied my foundation considerably easier and it looked very smooth and radiant. Also the aloe vera butter and lemongrass oil reduce excess oil and soothe break outs. Although it's definitely on the pricey side I am definitely willing to splurge a bit on the full sized version once I run out! It is definitely worth it!

Roger and Gallet R&G Fleur de Figuier Sachets

These Roger and Gallet Shower Cream (£9 for 200ml), Body Lotion (£13 for 200ml), and Fragrance  (£32 for 100ml) smell divine! I've sprayed a little on my wrist this morning and I can still feel the sensuous scent! I really want to try them but in the same time I want to keep them in my life! The way I see it this calls for another splurge! If I keep falling in love with the products I receive my bank account would suffer ... a lot!

Headline Colors Belladonna Nail Polish
Headline Colors' (£9 for 10ml) new limited edition collection promises more color and less chapping. The are UV absorbers in the formula which are supposed to provide better staying power. Also, according to the directions for application these polishes should look glossy and stay on on their own. No need of base or a top coat. And most importantly they're free of toxins. Let me know if you'd like me to do a detailed review once I try it out.

Last but not least the little gift I mention were these adorable pocket-sized PINK nail files that are a great handbag essential!
