DIY tutorial: Alberta Ferretti inspired earrings
Hello lovelies! The ones following me on Facebook or Twitter already know that today I have a DIY project for you! I was inspired by the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2012 show! If you saw it you've probably noticed the beautiful long earrings the last few models were wearing! This is what I am going to show you how to do yourself!
Here's what you need!
I actually used the beads from a necklace I was bored of so you can do that if you like.
Let's get into the tutorial!
You have to decided how long you want the earrings to be. Mine are about 30 sm, but you can make them longer or shorter, depending on what you like. For this particular type of earrings it's better to use plastic beads because they're much lighter than the glass ones. Also I am using a double sewing cord just to be sure it won't easily break.
You keep adding beads to the tassel until you're happy with how big it is. All the ends go trough the same big bead in the end. You do this for both earrings.
To add a little shine and character to the earrings I decided to make one different line with bigger beads and add it to the tassel. This is optional and depends on your taste, I just believe this makes them look much more luxurious.
And that's it! You're done! You can enjoy your new handmade and unique pair of earrings!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you decided to make the earrings please send me picture on Facebook or Twitter! I would love to see what you did! Also let me know if you'd like to see more DIY projects!
Have a lovely day!
