Some thoughts about the upcoming season...

There are things we tend to ignore. Like the signs that fall is coming. We close our eyes pretending not to see the leaves on the ground, we focus on the still blue skies trying to convince ourselves that summer's never going to come to an end. Our umbrellas stay locked up at home, right next to the door, but we never take them on our ways out. We keep our windows open although it is chilly during the late summer nights. We try not to notice that the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder. We postpone fall as long as possible. Even when it is already raining outside, the leaves have fallen down we pretend not to notice. Like autumn is going to go away if we ignore it persistently enough.
Why do we do this? What's so bad about fall? What's wrong with the change of the seasons that we pretend not to see it? Why do we shut ourselves for the upcoming season? Why don't we see the beauty and use it for inspiration instead of suffering from autumn depression? May be fall is too complicated to grasp. It's hard to see the beauty if we close our eyes. It's hard to feel inspired, if we shut our hearts. It's hard to fall in love, if we hold on to tight. It's hard to jump, if we are such cowards. It's hard to feel the rain, if we stay inside. It's hard to live the present, if we still leave in the past. It's hard to see the future, if we are not willing enough....

No matter if you like fall or not.... Here's something I am sure you're all going to like! We are all about to change our wardrobes, go shopping to fill the gaps in our fall outfits, feel inspired by the clothes we forgot we had since we locked them up not to annoy the summer sun. Here's a little glimpse of my autumn thoughts. Here's one of the reasons I want the seasons to change :)

How do you feel about fall? Love it or hate it?

And God created Doutzen...

...and Doutzen left me speechless.

Pictures by  Max Abadian for Flare September 2010.

The case is that I am so stunned I don't even know what to say. The pictures say it all. Disarmingly beautiful. Breathtaking. Innocent. Lusting. Doutzen.

Fall and Feelings

Fall is coming. I can already feel it in the air. The sun is shining ... kissing my skin and blinding me but when I look down I can see the leaves running around my feet, playing with the summer breeze. The seasons are changing. The mood is changing. The warm summer rays are replaced by the burning sunbeams. Like the sun is angry, trying to make the fall wait a bit longer, to keep the blue skies above and the joy in the air. Fall can wait. At least a few more weeks, until the sun gets tired of fighting and steps back. Summer is joy. Autumn is artistic. Beautiful. Melancholic. It's like a woman. Has ups and downs and mood swings. But that's what makes fall the most artistic, the most fascinating, the most precious of all seasons.

Enjoy the last days of the playful and careless summer. Let the sun kiss you skin. But keep your heart open for the beautiful autumn. May be if you learn how to love her, if you see her beauty and let her charm you she won't be so lonely anymore and the joy will replace the sadness in the air. After all a woman is beautiful and fascinating because a woman is unpredictable and mysterious. Just like the fall.

Stop. Let yourself stare. Let yourself feel.

Glorious. The weather. My weekend. My week. My job interview on Monday. Right now everything is almost perfect. Perfection is unachievable but I am so damn close. It feels right. Almost perfect. The little cracks here and there are just reminders. Reminders I should appreciate everything I have. I should cherish every happy moment, every sunbeam kissing my skin, every smile that blooms on my lips. And you should too. Notice the small things. Pay attention to the world around you and you will see it. The little obstacles on the way are nothing more but land marks, stop signs may be: meant to make you stop and stare, look back to the past, think about the future and see everything, meant to remind you to hold your life in your hands and follow your dreams instead of letting all the beauty pass you by. You can find it everywhere. I see it everywhere. In a friend's warm smile. In someone special's lovely voice. In the look that makes you melt, in the kiss that you desire. It's a feeling. Life's thrilling. It's up to you to make it matter.
Here's a shoot that transmits the exact same feeling as my weekend so far. These are Barbora Vesela & Marion Sealy by Nicole Hill. Stop scrolling down for a bit and really look at these. Let yourself soak into the moment that the pictures captured. Stop for a second. Let yourself feel.

My mom's FABOLOUS designs Part 1

Hello to all of my fabulous readers... after almost two months of silence I am back. I cannot say it was an artistic gateway.. well it wasn't... I just spent the craziest, funnest, coolest, the most unforgettable and indescribable month in Italy!!!! Long story short: I went there to study Italian (which I did) and meanwhile I made so many new friends! Met so many cool people from all over the world! Ate so much pizza, pasta and gelato that i gained weight.... and of course I've partying... THE WHOLE TIME :) the best month ever :) it was so good that I almost didn't take pictures... too much was happening to think bout picture. I am a bad bad blogger :D

Back to business now... I've been home for a week ... tried to unpack. see my friends. relax. make up on fashion reading and now it's about time to blog something I believe. So today I took some pictures of my mother's designs (yes she's into fashion as well... it runs in the family I guess :D ) so here are the pictures. Most of the clothes are mine ... of course :)

So now you know how I got involved into fashion! I love my mothers designs! The way she combines knitting and sewing and the way she always goes along with fashion but one can feel her own personal style looking at every piece she made. This is actually a very small part of the clothes she made for me and other people. Some of them are traveling around the globe with their new owners. Actually my mom will be starting her own blog soon so I will keep you updated and you will be the first to know about it :) P.S. She's not only making clothes... actually she designed and made many thing around our apartment as well but I will make another post about it because this one is already way too long ;)

I guess after all these pictures of beautiful designs you won't be much interested in what I was wearing but here are some pictures anyways :) OH! and the one shoulder  I am wearing is made by mom ... again :)

One shoulder top by my mother, skirt and hat from small local stores, handmade necklace, sunglasses and shoes from H&M and a MEXX belt.

So what do you think? Me and my mom would love some feedback on the clothes :)

Hope you are all having a GREAT WEEKEND :)

P.S. I promise to be a better blogger from now on ;)
